About

Hosting this on Cloudflare Workers 'Serverless'. Just code running somewhere in the cloud, no server for me to maintain.

I hope cloudflare keeps their stuff updated though.

Computer stuff

There are some really cool emulators for the old macintosh and other 8/16 bit computers. I think its amazing you can run an entire OS in a browser. I have a cloudflare worker running that is an emulator for the macintosh plus, and i copied all of my files onto it from the 1980's and 90's.
Based on this InfiniteMac project

vanlandingham

For example, the 'Vanlandingham' demo runs in the emulator.

Dark Castle on Macintosh Plus

Dark Castle! games don't run too well though.

Biking

While I have time off work, I'm seeing where I can go by only taking bike paths with as little on road as possible.

Ride to National Harbor.

I started on the WOD, turned north on west st through falls church then over chain bridge to C&O canal path to Mount Vernont Trail. Decided to just keep going through Alexandria until I got to the WW bridge and noticed there was a bike path on the side! I never noticed this driving but its a pretty wide path with viewing areas and benches. There's also a garden area where the path crosses over the bridge near the Maryland side. So cool! National harbor was a short distance from the bridge so I just took a quick tour of that and then came back on the 4 mile run trail.

Geology

Here are some photos I took of some interesting geological features around the DC area.

This is a website that explains the history and geology of the area pretty well: Virginia Places → especially this section: Virginia Geology →

Insert some photos here.
